The Pervasive and UseR Focused BiomeTrics BordEr ProjeCT (PROTECT) was funded under the European H2020 program and aimed at developing a strongly user-centric ‘on-the-move’ person identification system using multiple biometric modalities for different types of border crossings. I was a part of PROTECT from May 2017 to December 2017.




The Intelligent Piracy Avoidance using Threat detection and Countermeasure Heuristics (IPATCH) project was funded under the European FP7 program and involved developing multi-sensor surveillance solutions in the maritime domain for protecting vessels from piracy. I worked under IPATCH from November 2016 to April 2017.




The Privacy Preserving Perimeter Protection Project (P5) was funded under the European FP7 program and aimed at providing privacy-preserving surveillance solutions using multiple imaging modalities (visible, thermal, radar) for the protection of the perimeter of critical infrastructures. I was involved in P5 from October 2014 to October 2016.




The Self-organizing Intelligent Network of UAVs (SINUS) project focused on developing a multi-UAV system by effectively combining the sensing, networking and coordination components of the system, and aimed particularly at a disaster assistance application. I was a part of SINUS from January 2013 to December 2013.




The Autonomous Production of Images based on Distributed Sensing (APIDIS) was a European FP7 project that focused on automatically extracting intelligent scene content in a multi-modal sensor network, and employing the learned knowledge for an automatic video production in sports and surveillance scenarios. I worked under APIDIS from September 2010 to December 2010.
